The cutter has two plates (6,8) that fit over the wire (12). One (6) carries a circular saw blade (2) driven by an electric motor (3), while the other plate carries a clamp (13,14). The two plates are mobile one relative to the other, pivoted to provide a variable dihedral angle, which can be opened to allow positioning over the wire and closed to cut the wire.
