An addition-crosslinking silicone composition comprises diorganopolysiloxane(s) having viscosity of 1 mPa.second to 40000 Pa.second at 25degreesC, organohydropolysiloxanes having viscosity of 1 mPa.second to 100 Pa.second at 25degreesC, adhesion promoters and a hydrosilylation catalyst. An addition-crosslinking silicone composition comprises diorganopolysiloxane(s) of formula (1) having viscosity of 1 mPa.second to 40000 Pa.second at 25degreesC, organohydropolysiloxanes of formula (2) having viscosity of 1 mPa.second to 100 Pa.second at 25degreesC, adhesion promoters of formula (6) and a hydrosilylation catalyst. R1 = hydroxyl radical or monovalent, optionally halogen-substituted 1-20C hydrocarbon radical optionally containing O, N, S or P atoms, free of aliphatically unsaturated groups; R2 = monovalent, aliphatically unsaturated, optionally halogen-substituted 1-10C hydrocarbon radical optionally containing O, N, S or P atoms; a = 1-2; b = 0.0003-2; R3 = monovalent, aliphatically saturated 1-20C hydrocarbon radical; R4 = optionally halogen-substituted 16C or 15C hydrocarbon radical which contains at least one aromatic 6C ring, or halogen-substituted, saturated monovalent 2-20C hydrocarbon radical optionally containing O, N, S or P atoms; R5 = bivalent, optionally halogen-substituted 6-20C hydrocarbon radical silicon bonded at both ends and optionally containing O, N, S or P atoms; c-f = 0 or more; R12 = H, hydroxyl group, halogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, or aryl group, or monovalent organic group containing alkenyl, alkoxy, glycidyl, carbonyl, carbonyloxy, silyloxy or alkoxysilyl group and at least one of R12 is alkenyl or monovalent organic group containing alkenyl group; X = -(R13-)C(-R13)-, -(O=)S(=O)-, -(O=)S-, -C(=O)-, -O-(CH3-)Si(-CH3)-O-, -(CH2)s- or -O-; R13 = H, halogen or (un)substituted alkyl, aryl, alkenyl or alkynyl group; s = 2 or more; and r = 0 or 1 when 1.5 less than a+b less than 3, at least two aliphtically unsaturated radicals (R2) are present per molecule. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) addition cross-linked silicone elastomer; (2) preparation of addition cross-linked silicone elastomer; and (3) method for joining addition cross-linked silicone composition to a substrate.
