<p>In a process and assembly to apply an adhesive to the rear face of a label, banderole or wrapping strap (10), the supply of labels (10) is transported by a suction belt (15) on a descending conveyer backing tape (16) which is inclined at a slight angle to the vertical. The application of adhesive is effected by horizontal jets (30,31) directed at the labels (10). When the adhesive jets (30,31) are active, a pre-glued label (10) is always located directly beneath the jet (30,31) station.</p> |
