Release mechanism with a device compensating the irregularities in vehicle friction clutch

A throw out bearing for a vehicle clutch is fitted to one end of a thrust sleeve and has a special bearing ring with two tracks. One track is coaxial with the thrust sleeve and the other track is slightly off axis. This enables the bearing to take off axis thrust. The inner bearing ring presses onto the clutch operating springs while the bearing aligns with the thrust. The modified track design can be applied to either the outer or the inner bearing race.
