The patch antenna has a dielectric substrate (2) having a hollow (5) in the first face, a conductor earth plate (3) and a patch radiating element (4). There is an adaptation unit between the radiating element and the internal conductor (71). There is an external excitation conductor (72) fixed to the earth plate. The adaptation unit is supported by a wall (51) of the substrate hollow.
