Proximity switch with indicating means and its method of use

The inductive or capacitive proximity switch or sensor (1) changes at least one oscillation parameter on approach of element or object to contained amplifier (3), whose switching state is changed on object diminishing given distance to oscillation circuit (2). The sensor etc. also comprises display (5) capable to signal the presence of an influence of the oscillation circuit prior to the switching point or value of the amplifier has been reached. The display function is specified. Independent claims are included for application method of proximity switch or sensor.
