<p>The procedure for drying feed bales (B) uses an air flow (AC) at above ambient temperature that is forced through the thickness of the bales and is reversed periodically so that it travels through the bales first in one direction and then the other. The temperature of the air flow is between 60 and 130 deg C, and part of the moist air flow (AH) from the bales is recycled and mixed with fresh air (AE) from the outside before the mixture is heated and directed towards the bales. The procedure is carried out in a closed chamber (1) containing the bales between lower (100) and upper (110) mesh surfaces, an air blower (6, 8) and flow reverser (9).</p> |
