System for visualizing a portfolio comprises a computer-readable data store containing a database system. Said database comprises a number of database objects, each of which is uniquely associated with one or more base data. The base objects are assigned to one or more structural units in a multidimensional hierarchical model of the company or organization. The structural units are assigned to a relational database so that one or more base data can be viewed selectively or overall.
