Stationary welding device and process to longitudinally weld profiles

The lower section extruded strip (2) has a U shape and to be mounted onto the top surface is a smaller section strip (5). The two sections are to be joined by seam welding along edges (6,7) . While the sections are stationary the laser welding heads (14,15) are moved along the length. The laser beam (16) is reflected into the edge section.
