A face-type biosensor capable of being easily connected to a measuring device through an adapter. The biosensor includes a working electrode lead and a counter electrode lead that face each other. The biosensor is inserted into said measuring device through the adapter (2). A pressing portion in the adapter brings the second counter electrode lead into contact with first counter electrode lead.
