Device and process for making a moulding

An arrangement for producing a flat molding (1) which has hollow chambers (2) and intermediate slats (5) that connect two discs (3,4), comprises a press mould with a die (10) that forms the outer circumference of the molding, and two stampers (12,14). A segment stamper is integrated in the lower and/or upper stamper, and the segments have the same cross sectional shape as the slats. A core is placed in the press mould, which contains the segments that form the hollow chambers. The intermediate chambers are located between the core segments.
