DISINFECTING COMPOSITION, CLEANING TABLET PRODUCED THEREFROM, AND USE THEREOF

Disclosed is a composition containing a salt-shaped chloride or bromide compound, at least one oxidant having an oxidizing potential which is higher than that of Cl<1->/Cl<0> or Br<1->/Br<0> in a solution, and at least one excess acid which creates a pH value < 6 when the composition is fully dissolved. The inventive composition can be used for disinfecting and cleaning objects such as toothbrushes and dentures and body parts such as fingernails and toenails. Preferably, said composition is used in the form of a self-dissolving cleaning tablet. The composition is unexpectedly effective in killing germs and can be used to control different bacterial strains and fungi such as candida albicans.
