PURPOSE: An electrode for a lithium secondary battery, a lithium secondary battery and a preparation method of the electrode are provided, to improve the binding affinity of a negative electrode active material and the cycle characteristic. CONSTITUTION: The electrode comprises a metal current collector; and an electrode layer containing at least an active material powder, a binder and a water-soluble polymer formed on the metal current collector, wherein the binder is an amorphous polypropylene homopolymer or an amorphous copolymer comprising propylene and an olefin of C2-C8 dispersed in a copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid and alkyl (meth)acrylate. Preferably the content of propylene in the amorphous copolymer is 50 wt% or more; the content of the binder is 0.1-10 wt% based on the weight of the active material powder; and the content of the water-soluble polymer is 0.1-10 wt% based on the weight of the active material powder.
