PURPOSE: A method for confirming the reception of a message is provided to make a receiver's terminal transmit message-confirmed information to a sender through a base station if the receiver confirms a message that the sender transmits so as to confirm whether the receiver has received the message. CONSTITUTION: If a sender makes out a message, selects a reception confirmation option, and pushes the send button, the message is transmitted to a base station through an RF transmit-receive part(S201). A message center receives the message from the base station and transmits the message to a receiver with the time transmitted(S202). The receiver's terminal receives the message and the transmitted time, displays them to the receiver, and checks whether the receiver confirms the message(S204). If the receiver has confirmed the message, an MSM(Mobile Station Modem) installed in the receiver's terminal automatically creates message-confirmed information and transmits it to the base station(S204). An MSM installed in the sender's terminal judges whether the message-confirmed information is received(S205). If the message-confirmed information is received, the MSM informs the sender that the message-confirmed information has been received(S206). |
