PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring profile and horizontal degree of roll is provided which has small size and light weight and is simply operated to adjust thermal crown that is a strip shape control model element and abrasion predicting model. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a main body part(150) for measuring profile of the roll, and a signal processing part(200), wherein the signal processing part(200) is installed at a fixing stand(102) on an upper part of base(113) of the main body part(150), a measuring wheel(115) and a displacement sensor(107b) are installed a wheel bracket(117) installed at a central part of the lower side of the base(113), a support roll(109) is installed at a roll bracket(119) installed on the circumference of the wheel bracket(117), a support bar(103) is installed along inclination plane at both sides of the base(113), displacement sensors(107a,107c) are respectively installed at a lower part of the support bar(103), an encoder(111) is connected to the measuring wheel(115), and an angle meter is installed adjacently to the support bar(103) of the base(113) so that data measured by the respective displacement sensors(107a,107b,107c) and measuring roll are processed in the signal processing part(200).
