PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for selectively displaying printer registering information are provided to display printer registering information before a printing operation is carried out without checking printer registering information. CONSTITUTION: A time for setting printer registering information is recorded(10). After a printing menu is selected, it is determined whether or not printer registering information is required(12). If printer registering information is not required, it is determined whether or not a printing work is required(16). If the printing work is required, printer registering information is displayed(18) by receiving the record of printer registering information. At this time, setting time of each printer registering information menu is detected.
