PURPOSE: A multipurpose tunneling device is provided to improve working efficiency by allowing vehicles and the personnel access to a space in an apparatus without moving equipment. CONSTITUTION: The multipurpose tunneling device comprises a tunnel-shaped support body(1) provided with a space(5) for allowing vehicles and the personnel access, a pair of caterpillars(3,3') fixed on both lower ends(2,2') of the support body, a pair of domed auxiliary supports(6,6') fixed on the top of the support body(1), a pair of domed support bodies(8,8') connected with the auxiliary supports(6,6') by many connectors(7) and provided with a grooved rack gear(10), a bracket(12) provided with a pinion(11) engaged with the grooved rack gear(10) to be moved rightward and leftward, a boom(13) connected from the top of the bracket(12) by a boom reciprocating cylinder(16), and a perforating lot connected to a rotary motor(18) attached to the boom, wherein reciprocating cylinders(4,4') for a support body are installed on four corners of the tunnel-shaped support body(1), elastic members(15,15') for reciprocating a support body are installed on both sides of the support body(1) and folded/unfolded by the reciprocating cylinders(4,4'), and the domed support bodies(8,8') are composed of many segments(14,14',14a,14a') which are connected and disconnected by connecting pins(19).
