PURPOSE: A water softener having water purification function is provided which checks contamination of various filters easily, extends service life of ion exchange resin and water softener and prevents loss of water pressure by mounting pretreatment filter on the water softener, thereby easily separating various filters from filter housing. CONSTITUTION: In a water softener(1) comprising an inflow pipe(100) installed at one side of the water softener so that raw water is flown in the water softener through the inflow pipe at a certain pressure, and an outflow pipe(110) through which soft water converted from hard water through ion exchange resin(13) is discharged into the outside, the water softener having water purification function comprises a water softener body(10) an upper part and a lower part of which are opened in a cylinder shape, wherein the water softener body comprises a precipitation part(18) and a precipitation separating plate(16) for blocking the precipitation part that are formed at a lower inner side of the water softener body, a connection pipe(14) connected upward by pipe at the central side of the precipitation separating plate, a reaction tank(12) installed between the connection pipe and body, and in which ion exchange resin is filled, and an outflow port(19) formed on one side surface of the reaction tank; a lower cap(20) at the center of which inflow hole(21) is formed so that raw water is flown in through the inflow hole, to an upper part of which permanent magnet(22) is fixed, and on which a stainless steel filter mesh(24) having a size of 0.3 mm corresponding to a sieve size of 30 meshes is formed in such a way that the lower cap is clamped and sealed to an opening part of the lower side of the water softener body; a pretreatment filter(30) which is formed in a cylinder shape, a lower part of which is sealingly fixed to an upper part of the connection part to filter raw water; and an upper cap(31) on a lower part of which through hole(33) is connected to reaction tank of the water softener body, and to the outer circumference of a lower part of which an O-ring(34) is clamped so that the O-ring is insertingly connected to the inner surface of the pretreatment filter and sealingly clamped to an opening part of the upper part of the water softener body.
