<p>1,197,836. Di-secondary amines. CIBA Ltd. 31 May, 1968 [9 Aug., 1967], No. 26279/68. Heading C2C. [Also in Division C3] Disecondary amines containing N-(cycloalkyl) substituents are prepared. N,N<SP>1</SP>-di- (cyclohexyl)-hexamethylenediamine is prepared by reacting hexamethylenediamine (I) with cyclohexanone followed by hydrogenation (palladium carbon). N,N<SP>1</SP>-di(cyclopentyl)hexamethylene diamine is prepared by a corresponding reaction with I and cyclopentanone. Mixed isomers of N,N<SP>1</SP>-di(cyclohexyl)-2,4,4- 2,2,4-) trimethylhexamethylene diamine are prepared in a similar manner from the mixed diamines. Also disclosed are N,N<SP>1</SP>-di(cyclohexyl)-polypropyleneglycol diamines. Two are prepared from polypropylene glycols (M.W. 250 and 425 respectively) and cyclohexylamine in the presence of Raney nickel.</p> |
