<p>A base (16) has a crane engaging portion (27) adapted to have the hook of a crane engaged with the upper end thereof. First shafts (11) fixed to a base at a level below the crane engaging portion each have a lever holder (17) pivotally connected substantially at the middle thereto. Second shafts (12) fixed to the base at a level below the first shafts each have the base end of a link lever (18) turnably connected thereto, the front end of the link lever being releasably locked to the front end of the lever holder. A sling (13), having one end put around the hook of the crane, that is capable of engaging a heavy article, has the other end releasably put around the link lever. Further, a releasing means (19) releases the front end of the link lever from the front end of the lever holder by lowering the base end of the lever holder. In the case of hoisting a heavy article, all that is necessary is a required minimal enlargement of size, which means securing the strength corresponding to the load of the heavy article.</p> |
