PURPOSE: Provided is an ornamental article comprising a titanium dioxide layer, which contains titanium dioxide decomposing an organics and having deodorizing and antibacterial functions. CONSTITUTION: The ornamental article such as general artificial flower or artificial ornamental plant(12), is characterized in that surface of the article is coated with resin protective layer(14) of any one selected from the group consisting of organic polymers such as liquid polysilicon resin, polycarbonate resin, and teflon resin, and inorganic oxides such as oxide of silicon dioxide transition metal, and that the resin protective layer(14) is coated with titanium dioxide layer(13) containing titanium dioxide. The article always retains high cleanness, and controls a harmful bacteria such as microbe contained in air of room in which the article presents.
