PURPOSE: A network camera using a moving picture compression method, and a video system using the same are provided to increase the efficiency of a storage system and extend exchange and backup circles of a recording medium. CONSTITUTION: Plural network cameras(310:1-310:n) include camera identifiers to be identifiable, and are connected to a network(320). Each network camera compresses photographed video data in a moving picture compression method, and generates compression video files including integer number of video information of group of pictures(GOP) and camera identifier information for transmitting the generated compression video files to the outside through the network. A multiple connection modem(340) executes multiple connection to the plurality of network cameras for receiving the compression video file. A multiplexing/demultiplexing unit(350) receives the compression video files and arranges the video files by identifiers of the network cameras by using the camera identifier information included in the compression video files. A data management unit(370) receives the arranged compression video files for recording the same on a writable medium.
