SYSTEM FOR MAPPING SERVICE QUALITY PARAMETER AND MAPPING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A system for mapping a service quality parameter and a mapping method thereof are provided to guarantee the high quality service to an user by providing a method for setting and mapping a QoS parameter between an IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) level and a GPRS(General Packet Ratio Service) level. CONSTITUTION: A system for mapping a service quality parameter includes a PCF(Policy Control Function)(200) and a GGSN(Gateway GPRS System Node)(300). The PCF(200) is used for mapping and transmitting an authentication IP service quality parameter from a session description protocol parameter obtained by a session initiation protocol signaling process. The GGSN(300) is used for obtaining an authentication UMTS QoS parameter according to mapping data of the PCF(200) and performing an authentication process for a requested session by comparing the obtained authentication UMTS QoS parameter to the requested QoS.
