<p>The sample is put into a container in the normal way and a barometer holder and associated valves are mounted on the lid and secured. The sealing of the container to maintain air tightness during barometric reading is achieved by overlapping the flange of the lid with a machined internal diameter of the container. The flange has an annular groove machined in it and an "O" ring is seated in this groove.</p> |
