PURPOSE: A mobile terminal sleep method for publicity is provided to cope with incoming calls with various methods while a mobile terminal maintains a silence mode. CONSTITUTION: A partial sleep button installed at the corresponding mobile terminal is pressed by a user(S201). The frequency of pressing the partial sleep button are accumulated(S202). A character message according to the frequency is displayed through a LCD of the mobile terminal(S203). The mobile terminal enters a partial sleep mode(S204). The mobile terminal starts to count time(S205). It is continuously monitored whether the counted time reaches a preliminarily set time(S206). It is judged whether a power on/off button is selected(S207). It is continuously monitored whether the mobile terminal receives an incoming call(S208). An automatic response is given to the received incoming call(S209). The partial sleep mode is released(S210). The released state of the mobile terminal is displayed through vibration to be notified to the user(S211). It is checked whether the mobile terminal receives the incoming calls or short messages during the partial sleep mode(S212). The call information is displayed(S213).
