PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a sense amplifier is provided to improve the driving force of clamping voltage of the sense amplifier controller by supplying PMOS transistors to a generator generating the sense amplifier control signal. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a sense amplifier includes a first switching unit, a second switching unit and a third switching unit. The first switching unit switches the power voltage to a first control voltage to output the switched voltage as a clamping voltage. The second switching unit switches the power voltage by using the first sense amplifier enable signal enabled during an initial predetermined period to compensate the switched power voltage as the clamping voltage. And, the third switching unit is connected to the output terminal of the restore signal for selectively applying the clamping voltage to the output terminal of the restore signal by the inverted signal of the first sense amplifier enable signal.
