[Also in Division C6] A closed container for the storage and maturation of malt beverages such as beer is made of polyethylene, polypropylene or polybutylene. Alternatively, the polyalkylene may be provided as an internal lining within a barrel, can or bottle, or as granules or particles which may be porous. Examples and comparative experiments are directed to the storage of a malt beverage in blown bottles made of polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride and polycarbonate, in a container provided with an internal film of lowdensity polyethylene, and in containers containing granules of high- and low-density polyethylene and polypropylene. |
