OFDM RECEIVER RESTORING SYMBOL TIMING IN CORRESPONDING TO CHANNEL STATE AND METHOD FOR RESTORING SYMBOL TIMING THEREOF

PURPOSE: An OFDM receiver restoring symbol timing in corresponding to a channel state and a method for restoring symbol timing thereof are provided to realize stable symbol timing restoration in any channel environment by restoring symbol timing based on the current channel state. CONSTITUTION: An offset detecting unit detects a symbol timing offset value from a fast fourier transformed orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) signal. A channel state judging unit(400) judges the current channel state according to change in time of the OFDM signal. A print operating unit estimates a predetermined symbol timing offset value to the symbol timing offset value sequentially inputted based on the judged channel state information. An offset compensating unit(200) compensates symbol timing of the OFDM signal based on the estimated symbol timing offset.
