PURPOSE: A multilayer filter for soot particle collection is provided, which is constructed in a multilayer to effectively collect soot generated from combustion machinery and apparatus such as diesel engine, and apparatus and method for manufacturing the same are provided. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a screen supply means(3) for supplying porous screen(2); filter particle supply means(13) for supplying a plurality of filter particles(11) having different characteristics to the screen supplied from the screen supply means; and a case rotation means(7) for winding the filter particle loaded screen around case(5), wherein the apparatus for manufacturing multilayer filter for soot particle collection further comprises a filter particle layer thickness control means(15) for controlling thickness of layer of the filter particles loaded on the screen, and wherein the apparatus for manufacturing multilayer filter for soot particle collection further comprises a filter particle vibration means for vibrating filter particles supplied to the screen. The multilayer filter for soot particle collection comprises a case for containing filter particles; and a porous screen on which a plurality of filter particles having different characteristics are continuously loaded, and which is wound around the case, wherein layers of the plurality of filter particles are continuously connected to each other.
