CF INTELLIGENT DATA LOGGER FOR PDA AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A CF(Compact Flash) intelligent data logger for a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) and a controlling method thereof are provided to monitor the correct position data and the measurement data of a measurement point in real-time and to transmit it to a remote measurement server through a personal portable terminal by carrying out the sensor measurement efficiently through a CF interface of the PDA. CONSTITUTION: A GPS(Global Positioning System) signal processing module(23) processes and outputs the latitude/longitude data inputted from an GPS antenna(3). A microprocessor(21) converts the analog measurement data inputted through channels into the digital measurement data, writes an initialization instruction for connecting to the PDA(5), and emulates two RS232C ports for the GPS signal processing module and a PCS(Personal Communication System) phone(4). The microprocessor controls the A/D(Analog/Digital) selection, the GPS setting, and the wireless data transmission request from the PDA, and merges the A/D converted signal with the GPS data output from the GPS signal processing module. A CF controller(22) converts a CF interface for the data I/O(Input/Output) into the RS232C interface.
