PURPOSE: A plasma display device is provided which has an electromagnetic wave shielding layer capable of effectively blocking electromagnetic wave without reducing luminance of a panel by changing electromagnetic wave shielding filter mounted in front of the panel. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display includes a case(31), a driving circuit board(32) set inside the case through an opening(36) of the case, and a panel(33) placed above the driving circuit board. An electromagnetic wave blocking layer(35) is formed on the back of the panel. The electromagnetic wave blocking layer is grounded to the case. The electromagnetic wave blocking layer is a conductive thin film formed by deposition. An electromagnetic wave shielding filter(34) is formed on the front surface of the panel. Electromagnetic waves generated from the front surface of the panel and the driving circuit board are grounded to the case through the electromagnetic wave shielding filter and the conductive thin film.
