PURPOSE: A start safety switch is provided to achieve improved operating reliability of a switch and durability and water tightness of a switch assembly. CONSTITUTION: A start safety switch comprises a switch assembly having a switch knob(15) which turns a contact on/off; a rubber cap(11) for protecting the switch knob; a housing(14) for connection with a switch; and a bracket(13) for supporting the switch. The switch knob is a push type protruded from the front end of the switch assembly and which contacts a gas injection port lid. The rubber cap covers the front surface of the switch knob, and is coupled to the bracket side together with an auxiliary bracket(17) through the use of an extended portion(16).
