DIGITAL BROADCASTING TRANSMITTER INSERTING PILOT TONES DIFFERENT IN NUMBER ACCORDING TO RECEIVING PRIORITY BY AREAS OF DATA

摘要

PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting transmitter inserting pilot tones different in number according to receiving priority by areas of data is provided to realize stable reception of broadcast signals through improve channel estimation by receiving and restoring HP data in a mobile receiving environment. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of forward error correction(FEC) execute encoding to correct an error generated in transmitting first transport stream having low resolution as basic moving picture experts group(MPEG) stream, and second transport stream which is expanded MPEG stream to be combined with the first transport stream and having high resolution. A serial/parallel converter converts the serial type transport stream and the second transport stream into parallel type data for inverse discrete fourier transform. An inverse discrete fourier transform(IDFT) transforms the parallel type data. A frame forming unit inserts more pilot tones into high priority(HP) data having the higher receiving priority than low priority(LP) data having the lower receiving priority according to receiving priority by areas of the transformed data.
