PURPOSE: A shape memory vacuum reservoir is provided to continuously maintain freshness of food contained therein and to delay rotting of the food by virtue of formation of a vacuum state. CONSTITUTION: The shape memory vacuum reservoir is provided with a shape memory wrinkled portion(10) at an upper portion above a central horizontal axis thereof. When the reservoir is stored in a refrigerator, the wrinkled portion thereof is unfolded so as to produce a vacuum state inside the reservoir. Such a vacuum state is effective to delay rotting of food received in the reservoir.
