A rim is provided with a special balancing area, in which one or more recesses of a predefined shape can be placed in order to obtain a predetermined degree of balance. When subsequently mounting a tire, which is classified with regard to the extent and location of an imbalance and which is correspondingly labeled, counterweights of a corresponding shape can be inserted into the recess, whereby these counterweights render the completely mounted wheel balanced. |
