[Also in Division E2] A fastener 14 for engagement over a stud 28 having an enlarged head portion 32 comprises a generally rectangular base portion 16 having upper surface side edges, an integral wall 18 extending from each of said side edges at right angles to the base portion and each having a free end portion bent back towards the general plane of the base portion and a keyhole slot formed in the base portion and comprising an enlarged portion (not shown) and a long narrow portion 26 opening into said enlarged portion. In the construction shown the terminal edges of the free end portions of said walls are formed with serrations. The fastener is used for securing an article 34 having a channel to a support 10 which is provided with the stud 28, the fastener being engaged in the channed by the serrations engaging the walls of the channel, the base portion being spaced from the bottom of the channel to provide room for the head portion of the stud. The article can be an arm pad and the support the arm of tubular chair. The fastener is made either of metal or of a polymeric material. |
