Device for determining the dynamic response of polymers with chemomechanical properties, which, for the purpose of determining the elongation of a specimen (5), depending on time, comprises a support (1) whereon a horizontal bar (2) can be moved and secured, on said horizontal bar there being secured two rigid vertical supports (3 and 4), the support (3) having the end (a) of specimen (5) attached thereon, said specimen being fixed in horizontal position between some clamps (6), to the end (b) of the specimen there being tied a flexible and unextendable thread (7) which passes over a system of pulley blocks (8) fastened on the vertical support (4). The other end of thread (7) is provided with a weight (9) for tensioning the thread, and the core of an inductive displacement transducer (10), the transducer being coupled to a tensometric bridge (11) and then to a recording system (12), the signal being received after the sudden immersion of the specimen (5) into the solution in a vessel (13). In order to record the variation of the tensioning force, the support (4) is replaced with a flexible lamella (15) provided with electro-resistive tensometric marks (16) connected to the tensometric bridge (11).
