A cryptogram lock system is provided. The lock system comprises a lock bo dy and a key body. The lock body comprises a lock mechanism portion and a lock control portion having a micro-processor, a lock non-volatile memory un it capable of storing a lock code and a true random generator comprising an oscillator of random oscillating frequency. The key body has a key non- volatile memory unit capable of storing a key code. The microprocessor compares the lock code and the key code and provides a signal indicative of co-incidence or non-co-incidence, whereby a signal of co-incidence actuates the lock mechanism portion to open. A new random code is generated each time the lock mechanism is opened and the key code and lock code are updated.
