STACK-TYPE STOPPING UNIT FOR SHUTTING-OFF PIPE LINES

FIELD: construction engineering; repair of pipe lines handling media under pressure. SUBSTANCE: proposed unit includes cylindrical framework and stack of at least two coaxial toroidal envelopes deformed under action of internal pressure shutting-off space between said framework and pipe line. Envelopes have similar width in working position which is equal to difference of radii of outer and inner walls. In specific cases, length of each subsequent envelope exceeds that of previous one; framework is provided with flange having supply passages connected with respective envelope for delivery of medium under pressure to it. Framework may be blind or may be provided with valve. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of shutting-off pipe lines. 5 cl, 2 dwg
