FIELD: stomatology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oral composition containing bivalent tin ion source, fluoride ion source, and polymeric mineral surfactant binding tin(II). Composition simultaneously ensures decreasing and controlling supragingival dental tartar. Compositions may be prepared in the form of single- phase or double-phase mixtures. Invention also provides method for efficient transportation of bivalent tin-containing compositions with minimum side effect of dental coloration or astringent taste and with effective dental tartar control achieved by individual use of stable tooth brushing composition containing clinically efficient amount of tin difluoride and/or other tin(II) salts in combination with tin difluoride source and polymeric mineral surfactant, preferably phosphate- or phosphonate-containing polymer.
