PROCESS OF OPENING-OUT OF KIMBERLITE FIELD

FIELD: mining industry, development of kimberlite pipes. SUBSTANCE: process of opening-out of kimberlite field includes development of its upper part by opening mining operations and of its lower part by vertical boreholes from two sites moved apart diametrically, by horizontal transportation crosscuts and ventilation crosscut of upper level. Transportation crosscut of each level is connected to ventilation crosscut by circular gallery located outside of zone of effect of underground mining operations on its stability and by ventilation connections and raises from underlying level to ventilation crosscut. EFFECT: preservation of stable state of system of mine workings in the course of entire period of field development and creation of safe conditions to conduct mining operations. 2 dwg
