A loop for a shoe lace consists of a rigid open hook (4). The hook open side can be closed by a bendable band (3) which passes through a hook opening. The hook has a J-shape, and the longer arm of the hook can be fixed to the shoe. The end of the band and the longer arm of the hook are fixed to the shoe via a primary connection, and the other end of the band is fixed to the shoe via a secondary connection under the closed hook section.
