A manufacturing system comprises a plurality of process modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, with a plurality of magazine units 10 that may be coupled to the process modules. The process modules may each have a substantially identical base structure, and each may carry out a separate process step. The magazine units may be interchangeable between the process modules, and may be formed of pallet magazines, with loosely stacked pallets. Also claimed is a process module for a manufacturing system, which comprises at least one device for joining and/or holding components, and at least one robot unit. The process module may have a base plate for arranging the device and the robot unit, and may also have a measuring and inspection unit. A receptacle for installation of a supply module may also be provided on the process module. An autonomous control unit preferably controls the process module, and can be networked with other process modules. |
