A lighting device (10) comprises a set of spaced conductors (12), each of which is looped or substantially looped, at least one light emitting device (14) held by, and in electrical communication with, the spaced conductors (12) which are preferably unshielded wire, means for supporting the spaced conductors and means for supplying electrical power to the spaced conductors to electrically energise the light emitting device(s) (14).
