<p>Furnace comprises chamber whose base has spinneret-holes, end refining, fusion and pre-refining and charging chambers. These are joined one to another and glass passes through them in counter current to flame and combustion gases from burner in spinneret chamber. Applications are to drawing glass fibres. Advantages are use of gaseous fuels, especially methane, with high thermal efficiency.</p> |
