PURPOSE: A line on glass type liquid crystal panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent damages of line on glass type signal lines due to static electricity. CONSTITUTION: A picture display part includes a plurality of thin film transistors formed at every crossing area of gate lines(60) and data lines(58). Line on glass type signal lines(56) are formed at an outline area of the picture display part in a line on glass type to supply driving signals necessary for drive integrated circuits which drive the gate lines and the data lines. An insulating layer is formed on a front surface of a substrate(42) to cover the line on glass type signal lines. Contact holes are formed at the insulating layer to expose transmission lines. A transparent electrode film is formed on the insulating layer while contacting with the transmission lines through the contact holes. In the case that high voltage is flowed in, static electricity is flowed into the transparent electrode film to be bypassed to a common electrode through a common voltage transmission line connected with the transparent electrode film. |
