The knitted material (10) features a water-soluble yarn (13), which has been worked into a section (12) at a predetermined place for the openings instead of the base yarn (11). This first section (12) is surrounded by a second section (14), which contains a melt yarn (15). The material features an additional electrically conductive thread - e.g. a purely metallic thread - to provide for electrical screening.
