摘要 <p>PURPOSE: Provided are an apparatus and a method for treating wastewater with high efficiency by using a part of a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) as a sludge settling zone and a concentration zone, thereby reducing cost and area of plant installation and maintenance cost, maintaining MLSS concentration stable, and preventing sludge decomposition and clogging of sludge return pipe. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a pre anoxic zone(10) for denitrification using organic material contained in wastewater, an anaerobic zone(12) for releasing phosphorous from microorganism, a pair of sequencing batch reactors(14), each being installed after the anaerobic zone(12) and including a reaction zone and a sedimentation zone which are separated by a partition wall for removing organic material, nitrogen and phosphorous by anoxic and aerobic processes, the reactor further including a main diffuser(16), a sludge collecting zone(20) provided under the sedimentation zone of the SBR(14) for collecting sludge, a return pipeline(22) for returning the sludge of the sedimentation zone of the SBR(14) to the pre anoxic zone(10), and an auxiliary diffuser(28) installed at a lower part of the sludge collecting zone(20) for preventing clogging of the sludge collecting zone(20) and the return pipeline(22). The method comprises the steps of denitrifying wastewater in a pre anoxic zone, releasing phosphorous by introducing the denitrified wastewater to an anaerobic zone, introducing the phosphorous-released wastewater to SBRs to remove organic material, nitrogen and phosphorous in wastewater by an anoxic process and an aerobic process, and returning sludge of the SBRs to the pre anoxic zone, wherein a main diffuser provided in the SBR operates continuously or intermittently and an auxiliary diffuser provided in a sludge collecting zone starts to operate several minutes before end of aerobic reaction in the SBR and stops when the main diffuser stops and operates only one time for one process cycle.</p>
