OFDM TRANSMITTER HAVING FRAME STRUCTURE IMPROVING RECEIVING PERFORMANCE AND METHOD FOR SETTING UP LENGTH OF SYNCHRONOUS INFORMATION

PURPOSE: An OFDM transmitter having a frame structure improving the receiving performance and a method for setting up the length of synchronous information are provided to improve the equalization efficiency in equalizing channels by estimating channel distortion characteristics every subcarrier. CONSTITUTION: An inverse discrete fourier transform(IDFT) unit(300) transforms N parallel data of a frequency domain into N sample data of a time domain. A synchronous information inserting unit(600) inserts synchronous information of the length into an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) effective symbol formed of the N sample data. The length is calculated by the following expression: T=N/K, wherein T and k are integers.
