A roller cutter, comprising a cutting ring (2), a flange (3) for mounting the cutting ring (2) thereon, a shaft (7) allowing the flange (3) to be fixed to the end part thereof, a cutter body (5), and bearings (6) rotatably supporting the shaft (7) in the cutter body (5), wherein the cutting ring (2) is formed to provide a flange part (2a) on the inner periphery thereof, the flange part (2a) is fixed to the flange (3) formed of an outer flange (3a) fitted to the upper surface of the flange part and an inner flange (3b) fitted to the lower surface of the flange part integrally with each other with bolts (4), the flange (3) is fixed to the tip part of the shaft (7) integrally with each other with through-bolts (8) passing the inside of the shaft (7), and the replacement of the cutting ring (2) is performed by removing the bolts (4) and the through-bolts (8) from the inner and outer flanges (3a, 3b) and the flange (3), whereby the roller cutter of a rock excavator used for excavating a gallery and a tunnel can be formed so that the worn and damaged cutting ring can be easily removed from the roller cutter for replacement, and the position of the roller cutter and the position of the blade tip of the cutting ring can be flexibly adjusted.
